There is no place quite like Everglades Isle Motorcoach RV Retreat and Marina. It is located on the Barron River in Everglades City. Some Marco Cruise Club (MCC) members spent three days and two nights dockage at the Resort’s Marina, while other MCC land cruisers arrived by car on Saturday to join them for Saturday's activities.
Saturday's schedule included walking around Everglades City 56th Seafood Festival. Members enjoyed live country music, demos of how to handle an alligator, bull riding competitions, and a lot of fun. Later in the day, there were "docktails" scheduled by the pool, swimming, and a BBQ at the Tiki Bar which included great cheeseburgers, dogs, coleslaw, cookies, and a special dessert made by one of their own members. It was a "Cheeseburgers in Paradise Event" not too far from home and fun for all.
A Saturday night concert was scheduled at the Seafood festival. And as the song "Willin" written by Lowell George for those Marco Cruise Club members still "Willin" enjoyed a night of country music, while some of the Land Cruisers headed off into the sunset back to Marco Island.
Everyone said it was a great trip and are looking forward to going back. Our thanks go to past commodore Cindy McKeown and Sean McKeown. This is truly a hidden Gem of a resort and so close to home.
